The past three years has been a period of intense growth for our interior design firm, and though building a creative (mother/daughter) business has had its challenging moments, we've definitely found our groove. To allow us to continue to expand, we have assembled and trained an excellent team (shout out to Paula and Jessica!) as well as moved to a new office space in midtown, Manhattan. While we've been laser focused on building our practice and client base, we haven't had as much time as we would have liked to keep our blog (the foundation of our business) up to date —  and we have to say, we really miss it! In an effort to get back in touch with our editorial roots, we've decided to start writing the blog more consistently again, with a goal to post once a week. We have so much content from our day to day of running our design firm, but so much of it only ever gets seen by us (and our clients). Today marks the beginning of our return to more frequent blogging (!!) a nd  we'd like to start by sharing with you some of our favorite M2 projects, both in the city and outside, that summon summer time vibes all year round.We took a quick trip to Paris over a long weekend recently (above exploring the glorious gardens of the Rodin museum) and came back to the office feeling inspired and ready to tackle our summer installations. Below, a sun room we designed for a house in Westchester that the family uses all year round as their TV room. We're excited for the July/August issue of Traditional Home magazine to hit newsstands where the entry and landing that we designed for last year's Hampton's Showhouse will be featured. The photography throughout our spaces were by our friend, Nathan Coe.  A hat rack is such a simple addition to a hallway, and it really sets the tone. It caught the attention of all of the folks who walked through this wonderful Hampton's home.In the home office of a client in Westchester, the soothing mono-color walls and window treatments are soothing canvas for the kid friendly upholstered pieces we designed. This room makes us want to cozy up with an ice cold lemonade and a good book! We featured bountiful verbena branches in the entryway to greet guests — a favorite summer flower that gives you lots of bang for your buck. Summertime!In a guest bedroom in Tribeca, the wallpaper creates a playfully cozy cocoon for all of the guests who come to stay. The custom linens with the chocolate brown thread detail was a wonderful complement. We love using natural carpets like this one no matter what the season or setting. This fantastic home in Red Bank, New Jersey welcomes many extended family members especially in the summer months. We paired a pair of vintage bamboo chairs upholstered in an archival 1950's print with the lattice covered walls. In a Tribeca living room, we used a modern diamond pattern on the sofa with a stripe on the custom mohair carpet. Brown suede round bolsters dress up the sofa and a raffia covered ottoman gives this room the subtle summer vibes we love.A favorite floral wallpaper in the master was the starting point for this room, inspiring all of the other textiles.  In the guest bedroom of a brownstone in Brookly n, we used a Raoul print on the headboard that never disappoints. The citron yellow pillow shams add a nice punch of color.This living room in a home in Scarsdale stays soft and summery all year long with its pale blue palette.Lots of green succulents and potted plants keep this light infused conservatory feeling cheerful all year round.A faux painted coffee table is the backdrop for summer peonies and other varieties all year round in Lauren's New York apartment. Our Hampton's Showhouse entry with another photo by Nathan Coe of our summer happy place — Nantucket! Happy Summer, everyone!
