While the world reacts to the news Louis Tomlinson is 'expecting a baby' next year with American stylist Briana Jungwirth – one person we can't imagine being overjoyed is his ex-girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

Especially with the 'baby' story breaking within hours of her first birthday in years without the One Direction star by her side.

After mutually ending their four year relationship back in March – and having kept a dignified silence ever since – we're sure the news will somewhat overshadow Calder's celebrations.

Going through a break-up is always hard – and a public break-up is always harder. Yet, despite seeing Louis moving on with new girls, the fashionista who turns 23 tomorrow, has resisted the temptation of selling her story or appearing on any reality shows. Instead the recent university graduate has quietly been launching her own business with male model Max Hurd.

Together the pair, who live together, recently unveiled a collaborative fashion blog titled The Trend Pear – which they're believed to be expanding in the future after they registered a company called CalderHurd.

Coincidentally, while taking a break from blogging, Eleanor is currently celebrating her birthday with friends in Los Angeles, where the woman said to be carrying Louis's child – Briana Jungwirth lives.

According to reports by People, Louis is 'happy and very excited about becoming a dad' and 'he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother.'

An apparent friend of Louis told the American website: 'It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer. They are both really happy and although they aren't in a relationship, their friendship is extremely strong and they are both really excited about the baby. It's early days and Briana and the baby's health are the most important things right now.'
