The Thing About Blogging Is That You Know When Things Happened

I said I would conjure up a few moments to set out some Easter decorations and I did.

Except wait ... hold on ... is that the right photo? Or is this one?

They can't both be the correct photo because one of them is from five years ago and the other is from today and ... I TOLD YOU PEEPS AREN'T FOOD.

You really should read that link, if only so I can reinforce that I made those Peep things FIVE YEARS AGO. I quite simply hot glued some Peeps to some Styrofoam and called it a day. There's no weird spray or anything on them. They come out every year and then spend the off-season in a closet. No airtight containers are involved. No preservatives.

No nothing.

Let's ponder for a moment how it's possible that something could maintain it's shape so well. I mean, one of these Peeps is brand new and the other is FIVE YEARS OLD.

Which one would you be willing to eat? TRICK QUESTION! You should never eat Peeps!

They don't even attract bugs. Seriously. In five years, I have never once seen a fly or a stink bug or even an ant near one. I have ants crawling all over my dining room every spring, but they don't care about the little piles of sugar.

So you go right ahead and keep on eating Peeps. I'll keep buying them to make crafty things. Because that's what they're for.
