Blog Brûlée 2016!

Learn more about Blog Brûlée and discover 20+ of the best healthy food and registered dietitian bloggers!

Exciting news, guys, I'm going to Blog Brûlée!

(Disclosure: My attendance at the Blog Brûlée is partially funded by Sponsors of the Blog Brûlée, and I received a discounted registration to the event in exchange for writing this post. Opinions expressed are my own. I was not compensated for my time.)

What is Blog Brûlée?

I still remember opening the email announcing that I had been one of the 20 healthy food bloggers selected to attend Blog Brûlée at Smuggler's Notch in Vermont this fall.  I was pretty pumped then but I have only grown more excited since.  (Like, way more.)

The founders of Blog Brûlée describe the event best:

"Blog Brûlée is an invitation-only, exciting, experiential weekend shared among a small, intimate number of healthy food bloggers and Registered Dietitian bloggers. The event is designed to provide education and professional development opportunities, as well as a forum for discussion and relationship building surrounding topics such as blogging and social media best practices, fundamentals of food photography, communication and marketing strategies, community niche development, brand identity and monetization."

Phew, I mean, if that doesn't excite you, I don't know what will.  (Or maybe it just means you're not a nerdy food blogger like me?)

I really didn't learn anything about starting a food blog or or taking photos of food (much less brand identity and monetization) in school, so I can't wait to learn from some of the best in my field.

A huge thank you to Blog Brûlée's founders for making this event possible.  If you aren't familiar with the work of Regan Jones (HealthyAperture.com, TheRecipeReDux.com, RDs4Disclosure.org.), Gretchen Brown (kumquat), Deanna Segrave-Daly (Teaspoon of Spice, The Recipe ReDux), and Robin Plotkin (Robinsbite), go check them out immediately!  They're the best of the best when it comes to healthy food blogging and nutrition media.

Who's attending Blog Brûlée? (aka more healthy food bloggers to follow!)

I'm all for days filled with SEO and branding but what I'm really most excited for is connecting with each of the other healthy food bloggers who will be there with me.  Many of us have been connected virtually for awhile now but we haven't been able to actually meet in person…until now!  I'm SO looking forward to finally meeting each of these amazing women in the flesh next weekend.

Plus, my husband is probably sick and tired of hearing me talk about food and blogging all day long and there is zero chance of these ladies growing tired of the topic, so I truly can't wait to be with my people: 😉
