Conan O'Brien landed in Seoul on Monday morning, and went about having a pretty busy day despite flying some 14 hours to get there.

The talkshow host is in the country to film a special segment, and is live-blogging it on Instagram. He's also posting on Korean social network, Kakao, which quickly verified him ahead of his visit.

He started his day big. Upon arrival at Incheon airport, he was mobbed by a hall of screaming fans:

Later, at the Noryangjin fish market, he posed with an octopus in a bag. This octopus was likely sold to be eaten alive, which is a local delicacy in South Korea, so Conan may have saved the little critter from a gristly fate.

He signed this laptop, apparently remarking to its owner: "Now your laptop is worthless."

After O'Brien announced his trip to Seoul last week, fans started laying out the red carpet for him.

The lanky host is probably a bigger star in the Asian country than you thought.
