"Kitni zillat ki baat hai, vishwa ki sabse bari party hone ka dawa karne wali party ke paas Bihar mein ek chehra bhi nahi jiske naam par wo chunav lar sake (It is a matter of great humiliation that the party which claims to be the world's largest political party does not have even a single face in Bihar on whose name the party can contest the elections)," Prasad said in a message on micro-blogging site twitter.
Prasad's poser to the saffron party comes a day after the BJP senior leaders, union chemicals and fertilizers minister Ananth Kumar and former Bihar deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi had evaded a direct reply to media on the question of CM face.
Ananth Kumar had on Tuesday said the saffron party would go to the people under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership by showcasing his agendas of development and good governance, while Sushil Modi had said the BJP's central leadership would take a call at an appropriate time on whether to project a CM face or go with collective leadership in the assembly polls.
"We have declared our CM face. Now, BJP should come out and tell people who is its CM candidate," Prasad once again said on Wednesday while challenging BJP to name its CM face. The RJD chief has been riling the BJP to name its CM face, ever since the Janta Parivar leader Mulayam Singh Yadav declared CM Nitish Kumar as the secular alliance's chief minister candidate for the assembly polls.
Earlier on Monday, the RJD chief had asked the saffron party to name its 'Agla Vansh' (next generation) in Bihar. "Nirvansh hai Bhartiya Janta Party. Iska koi vansh aur namlewa nahin hai. Agar hai to Bihar mein CM ka naam ghoshit karo (The BJP is issueless. The party doesn't have any offspring or a person who carry forward its name. If the party has anyone, it must declare the name of CM candidate in Bihar)," Prasad had said on Monday while addressing a meeting of his party workers at RJD office here.
The JD(U) and Congress also have mounted a frontal attack on the BJP on the issue of CM face. The JD(U) state president Bashistha Narayan Singh on Wednesday said, "How a political party which cannot even decide on naming its chief ministerial face can go to the electorate with confidence seeking mandate.
Congress state president Ashok Choudhary said, the non-declaration of CM face exposed the leadership crisis in the state BJP.
