Twitter down! Users not able to post on micro-blogging site after ‘technical error’

Mumbai, April 14: Popular micro-blogging site network Twitter was unavailable on Thursday morning after facing some technical problems. Users were unable to post tweets on Twitter after the site crashed. The site suffered from serious access problems for mobile and desktop users. The Twitter app is also not working. "Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon," the message appeared after Twitter site went down.

Twitter site crashed on January 19 this year after service disruption. The company had confirmed that four of the five public APIs were down and that there were "service disruption". The app was also unavailable on mobile phones also. There has been similar issues in the past few months. Some of the discrepancies were reported on January 15 too. Twitter is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets". Created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass, Twitter has more than 500 million users, out of which more than 332 million are active, according to data released in 2015.
