Michigan First Credit Union is looking for its next Young & Free Michigan Spokesperson

DETROIT (WXYZ) - If the idea of blogging, making videos, being a social media butterfly, and talking to the media sounds like your cup of tea, Michigan First Credit Union is looking for you.

The job is for the next Young & Free Michigan Spokeperson – or "Spokester."

Michigan First Credit Union is looking for an energetic person to be the voice of the 17-to-25-year-old crowd.

And the person needs to be dynamic, outgoing, self-motivated, creative, computer savvy, and comfortable in front of crowds and the camera.

Michigan First Credit Union says the spokester will create YouTube videos and bogs, travel, attend cool events, and reward members, fans and followers.

Candidates must be willing to work full-time through the one-year term.

A high school diploma is required.

The winning applicant will receive an Apple MacBook Pro notebook computer, HD video camera with microphone and accessories, a smart phone, and the use of the Young & Free Michigan Spokester car with paid gas.

Deadline to enter is March 7 at 3 p.m.  A 60-second video pitch is requested along with the online application.

After a public vote, the Top 10 Finalists will be announced on March 24.

The finalists will face a challenge that's due on April 12. The winner will be notified April 18.
